Play with purpose
Play is how young children make sense of the world. We set the stage, then let curiosity do the teaching.
Early childhood · Hands-on learning
Learning in Action is a play-led early childhood program where children get outdoors, make a beautiful mess, practise real skills and follow their curiosity wherever it leads.

Our approach
Young children do not separate learning from living. They build understanding with their whole bodies — touching, testing, telling stories and trying again. Our job is to set a rich stage and pay close attention.

Interests lead the way. Teachers observe, wonder alongside and gently stretch each child's thinking.
Wood, water, clay, fabric and tools. Real things respond, resist and teach in ways plastic never can.
Small groups, big conversations. Children practise sharing, negotiating and caring for one another.
Learning areas
Our days move between these learning areas — often blurring them together. A muddy puddle can be science, art and a lesson in sharing all at once.
Mud, leaves, weather and worms. Time outdoors to notice, wonder and care for the living world.
